  • Overview

    Candidate will work on an Army project with a software development team and utilize best practices for integration and maintenance of a software and hardware baseline. Candidate will maintain the baseline, providing patch/driver updates and integrating new hardware when necessary. Candidate will also maintain the continuous integration environment for the software development team. Candidate must be a quick learner, self-motivated, and able to balance multiple-simultaneous tasks.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Troubleshoot challenges between software products running on either a single platform or across multiple platforms
    • Conduct technical analysis of complex installation and integration challenges while documenting both solutions and analysis
    • Provide technical support to team leads, systems engineers, software engineers, and customers
    • Maintain systems via patching, software updates, and upgrades
    • Act independently supporting the software development team, and demonstrate subject matter expertise on the software and hardware baseline on which the software runs
    • Maintain the continuous integration environment utilized by the software development team, through upgrades and implementation of new features
    • Maintain a software image with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
    • Provide as-needed support for corporate infrastructure management and maintenance


    Basic Qualifications

    • U.S. citizenship
    • Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).  Prefer TS/SCI.  We will sponsor clearances. 
    • BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields
    • 3+ yrs. of related experience in:
      • Windows and Linux system administration experience, including knowledge of platform-specific utilities for common operations and debugging
      • Experience with Windows VM clients running on ESXi or VMWare player

     Desired Skills

    • Scripting languages (Python, BASH, PowerShell)
    • Experience with Gitlab CI / JIRA Suite
    • Experience with Active Directory
    • Experience with Microsoft Deployment Kit / Ghost
    • Intermediate networking
    • VMWare virtual machine infrastructure using vSphere
