    Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) is looking for a DevOps Engineer / Systems Integrator to join our team. The DevOps Engineer will oversee the development environment architecture as well as work in development teams utilizing a flexible agile driven software development cycle to build and maintain complex Army systems.  Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering customer focused engineering solutions.  As a DevOps Engineer on our team, you will have the opportunity to shape our intelligence customer’s mission by working side by side with other engineers on a complex software and systems design engineering effort.  On our team, you will broaden your skills by merging your systems engineering experience and design and development capabilities into customer deliverables working in an integrated team lab environment. 

    The DevOps Engineer will work on an Army engineering and integration project, in support of the Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD), to improve the baseline, apply technology insertion and modernization efforts for Program Executive Office (PEO) Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors (IEWS) and System Integration Laboratory (SIL) I2WD facility at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG, MD). 

    The DevOps Engineer will provide various software and hardware engineering support to execute tasks and requirements necessary for implementing lifecycle and software engineering services, integration engineering, system configuration updates, field operations support, and logistics, required to maintain the Family of Systems (FoS) operational readiness for systems and capabilities deployed to various Army units and Department of Defense (DoD) programs.

    DevOps Engineer / Systems Integrator Responsibilities

    • Conduct technical analysis of complex infrastructure and integration challenges to include assessment of requirements, SW installation in SIL/GSIF, SW infrastructure changes for DCGS-A v3.2.5 baseline, integration and troubleshooting of application software, full system testing, information assurance scans and control implementation in accordance with RMF process and v3.2.5 security posture
    • Provide integration support to update Tactical Ground System (TGS) architecture to integrate into DCGS-A v3.2.5 baseline
    • Provide support to VM layout and deployment in coordination with IESIL engineers, to ensure TGS VMs are consistent with V3.2.5 infrastructure and security engineering requirements
    • Support continuous integration and delivery efforts in the DCGS-A SIL and deliver full software source code baseline or source code deltas with each delivery
    • Responsible for system design, development, architecture, and integration of in-house and third-party developed software packages into the baseline
    • Deploy, integrate, test, and configure Free and Open Software (FOSS), Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS), Government-off-the-Shelf (GOTS), and custom software
    • Provide technical direction to design and development teams, and monitor progress and productivity using metrics and excellent interdisciplinary knowledge
    • Solve complex installation and integration challenges while documenting both solutions, analysis, and alternatives
    • Provide solutions to engineering challenges between software products running across multiple platforms
    • Maintain systems via patching, software updates, upgrades, and resolving security vulnerabilities
    • Ability to act independently, at times, supporting the system component implementation on large programs


    DevOps Engineer / Systems Integrator Basic Qualifications

    • U.S. citizenship
    • TS/SCI security clearance
    • BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields
    • 6+ yrs. of related experience in:
      • Software integration and application administration of complex computer systems including 3rd party software integration
      • Scripting languages (BASH, Perl, Python, Ruby, PowerShell)
      • Programming languages (C++, Java)
      • Web servers (httpd, IIS, Tomcat, JBOSS)
      • Virtualization technologies (VMware, VirtualBox)
      • Database concepts and usage (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, NoSQL)
      • Software encryption (SSL/PKI)
      • Networking (IPv4, IPv6, TCP/UDP, IGMP/PIM, IPSEC, LACP, VLAN, Cisco iOS)
      • Network multicasting
      • Enterprise hardware (switches, RAID configurations, SAN/DAS/NAS, Fiber/NFS/iSCSI, blade/rack-mount servers)
      • Build and packaging tools (Apache ANT, Jenkins, Maven, RPM, Wix/MSI)
      • Message bus


    DevOps Engineer / Systems Integrator Desired Skills
