    Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) is looking for a talented and motivated Geospatial Analyst to join our team!  As a Geospatial Analyst, you will be supporting the development activities for our Intelligence customer.  The successful candidate for the Geospatial Analyst position requires an in-depth knowledge of industry leading Geospatial tools such as Esri ArcGIS and SocetGXP.  The Geospatial Analyst may be required to provide surge support during critical incidents affecting the Nation’s security.  Candidate will provide a broad range of Geospatial support functions in response to Intelligence Community & Department of Defense analysts needs. 


    The candidate must be self-starting, able to work well within a team environment and motivated to deliver innovative capabilities that directly impact national security.  The ability to perform complex analyses and to communicate its results using accurate, concise, and effective writing and through descriptive and graphical representations is a must!

    Geospatial Analyst Responsibilities

    • Geospatial data management to include acquiring data from authoritative sources, establishing geospatial databases, and optimizing datasets for analysis
    • Conduct terrain and imagery analysis to support broader military assessments
    • Create relevant geospatial analysis models and tools to support analysis approach
    • Identify and integrate new geospatial and imagery exploitation techniques/methodologies to analysis approach
    • Establish and maintain GIS environment to include software packages, database, and tools/utilities
    • Clearly communicate analysis results and collaborate with a multi-discipline team


    Geospatial Analyst Basic Qualifications & Skills

    • U.S. Citizenship
    • Secret Security Clearance
    • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, geospatial information systems (GIS) or computer science related field
    • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in geospatial analysis, GIS, digital cartography, remote sensing, and photogrammetry
    • Experience in geospatial data modeling, processing, and geodatabase management (file and enterprise)
    • Knowledge and experience conducting terrain and imagery analysis
    • Experience developing ArcPy/Python scripts and GDAL/OGR libraries
    • Experience with databases such as PostgresSQL/PostGis, SQL Server, SQLite, Oracle
    • Proficient in geospatial software packages including ArcGIS, SocetGXP, ENVI, ERDAS Imagine, QGIS, GoogleEarth, GeoServer and/or other similar packages
    • Ability to interpret and explain geospatial products to leadership
    • Geospatial Analyst Desired Qualifications & Skills

    Master’s or Ph.D. in Geography, Statistics, Engineering or Computer Science

    • Conducting/supporting geospatial and imagery analysis in support of military/intel domains
    • Building geospatial analysis models in ModelBuilder using geoprocessing tools and/or custom ArcPy scripts
    • SAR Data Analysis
    • TS/SCI Security Clearance
