Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) is looking for a Systems Architect who can see the big picture, has a strong Command & Control (C2) and/or technical background to advance future C2 capabilities for the DoD. Our Systems Architect collaborates with government leadership to modernize Joint C2 capabilities meeting the evolving needs of a multi-domain operations environment.


The systems architect will define architectures for an enterprise Cloud-based system for interoperability, scalability, reliability, and security for global C2.  The candidate must be motivated, self-starting, and able to work well within a team environment.

Systems Architect Responsibilities

  • Define and design system/software architectures, logical & physical, with broader enterprise considerations
  • Define system standards, based on industry & government standards, for open systems architecture
  • Establish sound engineering analysis processes, techniques, and best practices across the portfolio
  • Analytic and systematic approach to evaluating problems with respect to work/data flows, organization, and planning, and then develops appropriate corrective action
  • Collaborate across multi-disciplined teams to understand and define all-facets of the enterprise system
  • Advise and support Government decision-makers for strategic planning, briefings, and evaluations
  • Work with vendors on security architecture requirements, design and accreditation


Systems Architect Required Qualifications & Skills

  • US citizenship
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • 5-10 years experience in related field
  • Knowledge of enterprise architectures (e.g., DoDAF) & design for Cloud environments
  • Demonstrated experience in designing enterprise cloud software systems
  • Experience with modern Commercial and Government technology for enterprise cloud software systems
  • Understanding of technical and non-technical qualities of systems
  • Agile frameworks (e.g., SCRUM, SAFe, etc.) and development processes
  • Ability to coordinate and effectively communicate with Government

Systems Architect Desired Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with DoD/Joint Command and Control domain and systems (e.g., GCCS-J, GCSS-J, JPES, GCCS-JE, JOPES, JFW, JCRM, and PFG)
  • Broader DoD C5ISR domain expertise and experience
  • Open Systems Architectures (e.g., Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) & IEEE Open Systems Environment (OSE)
  • Familiar with Commercial/Government Cloud environments (e.g., AWS & C2S)
  • Familiar with DevSecOps practice and tools (e.g., Di2E, Atlassian, etc.)
  • Awareness of DoD security policies, protocols, and processes
