Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) is looking for a Software Engineer / Systems Integrator to join our team. You will oversee the incorporation of geospatial products into a dynamic production environment while maintaining a complex Army systems architecture. Work is accomplished though the synergy of development teams and integration engineers within a flexible agile driven software development paradigm. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering customer focused engineering solutions. On our team, you will broaden your skills by merging systems engineering experience and development capabilities into creating customer deliverables within an integrated team lab environment.

As an Integration Engineer, you will work on an Army engineering and integration project, in support of the Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD), to improve the baseline, apply technology insertion and modernization efforts for Program Executive Office (PEO) Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors (IEW&S) and System Integration Laboratory (SIL) I2WD facility at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG, MD).

Candidate must be self-motivated, a quick learner, flexible, and able to balance simultaneous tasks to keep pace with our team of high performers


Software Engineer / Systems Integrator Responsibilities

  • Engineer, deploy, integrate, test, and configure geospatial Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) products, Government-off-the-Shelf (GOTS), Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), and custom software
  • Be responsible for system design, development, architecture, and integration of in-house and third-party developed software packages into the baseline. The individual will conduct technical analysis of complex infrastructure and integration challenges and report findings to stakeholders
  • Design and implement integration changes using JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Nexus, and Jenkins. Develop scripts to automatically configure machine environments using the Chocolatey and Puppet tools. Scripting languages PowerShell and Python are employed.
  • Provide input to design and development teams, and monitor progress and productivity using metric tools
  • Act independently, supporting the geospatial implementation on large programs


Software Engineer Basic Qualifications


  • U.S. citizenship
  • Top Secret security clearance required, TS/SCI preferred
  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • 10+ yrs. of related experience in most of the following:
  • Software integration, troubleshooting, and application administration of complex computer systems including 3rd party software integration
  • Linux & Windows administration
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware)
  • Build and packaging tools (Apache ANT, Maven, RPM, Wix/MSI)
  • Network troubleshooting (IPv4, IPv6, TCP/UDP, IGMP/PIM, IPSEC, LACP, VLAN, Cisco iOS)
  • Web server deployment (httpd, IIS, Tomcat, JBOSS)
  • Database concepts and usage (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, NoSQL)
  • Software encryption and/or web certificates (SSL/PKI)
  • Integration Engineer Desired Skills
  • ESRI products
  • Geospatial domain knowledge
  • OGC protocols, KML
  • Satellite Imagery
  • Enterprise Geospatial Database
  • Software revision control tools (Git)
  • Programming languages (C, C++, and Java)
  • GEOINT/SIGINT/IMINT domain knowledge
