DevOps Engineer

Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) is looking for a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer that is passionate about technology and the mission of our customers to join our team! This individual will work as part of an agile software development team to translate real-world needs into technical specifications making them an integral part of delivering customer focused engineering solutions.

The work supporting this role will be performed at the Northern VA located customer site or within our Fairfax, Va offices and could include infrequent local travel within the Northern Virginia / Maryland / Washington D.C. region.  Successful candidates must be a U.S. citizen and must have an active TS-SCI level Security Clearance.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual with a solid IT background that wants to help us drive our customer and company missions forward. Candidate must be self-motivated, a quick learner, and able to balance simultaneous tasks to keep pace with our team of high performers.

DevOps Engineer Responsibilities

• Integrate Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) / Government-off-the-Shelf (GOTS) / and Open Source applications and configure network and component configurations in support of software delivery to national security customers
• Analyze and comprehend current system functional requirements to identify process and tool integration needs, system dependencies, integration points, system interfaces, and data flows
• Be responsible for system development, architecture, and integration of in-house and third-party developed software packages into the baseline
• Provide input to design and development teams, and monitor progress and productivity through the use of metrics
• Design and implement automation scripts

DevOps Engineer Basic Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship
• Active TS-SCI Security Clearance
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical fields
• Significant professional experience also considering in lieu of a four-year degree
• Experience with most of the following:
  • Software integration, troubleshooting, and application administration of large system-of-system (SoS) integration
  • Merge software and systems integration and development
  • Basic network troubleshooting for client / server applications
  • Ability to think critically and analytically in an enterprise and SoS environment

DevOps Engineer Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an Agile development environment (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, SonarQube, Fortify)
• Experience with operational deployment and monitoring tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Kibana, Grafana, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with scripting languages, including Bash, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Groovy
• Familiarity with application platforms and frameworks (LAMP, MEAN/MERN, Rails, Django)
• Familiarity with cloud frameworks; AWS, OpenStack, Azure, etc.
• Familiarity with security industry standards
• Certifications: Security+, Network+, AWS, CEH or CISSP
