Overview

RGi is seeking a PMP certified project manager with experience overseeing and executing numerous engineering programs in support of our DoD and Intel customers. The Project Manager candidate will manage multiple, ongoing, interrelated projects to achieve a specific set of client business goals. Organize and manage resources, and plans all work required to complete a discrete project within defined scope, quality, time and cost parameters.  The Project Manager candidate will manage projects through the integrated project management life cycle - planning, execution, monitoring & control, and closeout activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned projects, including contract and subcontractor management
  • Manage budgets, risks, issues, and project teams
  • Manage dynamic staffing needs to fulfill project and corporate needs
  • Customer and stakeholder engagement to protect and grow each program
  • Communicate and report to stakeholders on progress, engage stakeholders when decisions needed, act as a consultant to our clients, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction
  • Ensure familiarization with the entire scope and requirements of the projects and serve as a liaison between team members, management, stakeholders, and functional areas
  • Create project schedules, monitor project execution against the schedule, and determine resources needed
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments
  • Work with the customer to reprioritize activities to refocus work efforts and support activities to address new or changing business needs
  • Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Identify and elevate project risks as required
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Lead others to drive ongoing program improvements based on user feedback and performance measurements

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Secret clearance. We will sponsor clearances.
  • PMP Certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT related discipline
  • 8+ years of project management experience managing complex, agile software development and integration projects
  • Proven experience managing programs within schedule, scope and cost in the IC and DoD projects
  • Experience developing and maintaining an integrated master schedule
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience and ability to provide cost and schedule performance analysis, risk management and dependency impact analysis
  • Experience growing and expanding programs
  • Must be organized, flexible and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be a self-starter able to work with limited guidance
  • Must be analytical, possess excellent communication, presentation skills and have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Must be comfortable interacting with staff at all levels within the organization, senior level Government customers and in providing recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task

Desired Skills

  • Srum Master or SAFe certification
  • Experience providing capture and proposal support
  • Experience with DOD and/ir Intelligence agencies
  • Experienced with Microsoft Project, JIRA and Visio
  • Experienced with managing cleared and remote teams
